January 5th, 2023

The 2023 Minnesota legislative session opens on Tuesday, January 3rd!

On Thursday, January 5th, VSCM and our fellow health freedom friends will hold a lobby day at the Capitol, with a rally in the rotunda from 1:30 to 3:30 pm.

In 2019, Senator Chris Eaton introduced SF1520.  The bill sought to remove Minnesota’s long-standing conscientious exemption to vaccines for schools and daycare.  Vaccine Safety Council of Minnesota and HCM, supported by other health freedom organizations, held a rally to oppose this bill.  You can read about the rally HERE.

We were successful in preventing the passage of this bill in 2019 and in subsequent years, but the makeup of the Minnesota legislature changed in November 2022.  The good news is that there are legislators from all parties who do NOT support forced or coerced vaccines.

For nearly 3 years, Minnesotans were prevented from freely entering many Capitol buildings.  This made it difficult for constituents to form relationships with the people THEY elected to speak for them at the Capitol.

During the lockdown, we held rallies on the Capitol lawn, outside hospitals, and in front of the governor’s mansion.  But we look forward to getting back to holding lobby days and rallies inside the Capitol, and meeting with our elected officials in person!

Dr. Brian Boyd of VSCM was emcee in 2019

Faces of Vaccine Injury and Vaccine Choice

We need you to show up on January 5th!

The clone of SF1520 has been re-introduced every session since 2019, and we know it will be dropped again in 2023.

Remember that the removal of our conscientious exemption (which has served Minnesota well since 1978) would mean that EVERY FUTURE VACCINE the Department of Health adds to the school schedule (including the dangerous and unnecessary COVID shot) would be forced on our children, including homeschoolers.

VSCM, MaskOff Minnesota, and Stop the Mandate will be joined by many other health freedom organizations.

What to do NOW:

  • Call or email your state elected officials and request a meeting with them on January 5th.  Normally, you can find out who represents you HERE.  But the MN Legislature has not yet updated their website to reflect the election results. So for now, go HERE if you aren’t sure who represents you.
  • If you confirm a meeting for the 5th, please forward the time of the meeting, the name of the legislator, the district number, and the constituent who scheduled the meeting to: [email protected].
  • If they can’t meet on the 5th, but you plan to meet with them on a different date, please let us know if you need assistance or support at your meeting.  Just contact us in advance, and we will send an advocate with you.  In prior years (before we were locked out of the Capitol), VSCM had a member of our advocacy team at the Capitol every day of the legislative session, and we will try again in 2023.
  • Make signs to show lawmakers and media how you feel about forced vaccines.  Signs cannot be affixed to any portion of the Capitol, and cannot be on sticks.
  • SHARE this event widely!  Facebook link is HERE.

On Lobby Day, January 5th:

  • We have rooms 317A316, and 317 reserved at the Capitol between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm (we have to shift around a bit due to scheduling constraints, but you will find us in one of these rooms).
  • Join us there before your meeting.  Connect with those in your district who plan to attend with you.  We will have materials for you to deliver to your lawmakers, and can send people with you to your meeting, if needed.
  • Tell your elected officials YOUR story, whether it be job loss due to coerced vaccines, harassment by family, employers or business owners, or the injury or death of a loved one from vaccines.
  • Ask your legislators to pledge that they will not support any form of forced or coerced vaccines in Minnesota.  Because there is risk, there MUST be a choice!
  • We have some amazing speakers lined up to address the crowd during the rally, so plan to be in the Capitol Rotunda for some motivation from 1:30-3:30 pm.

* Our goal is to meet with elected officials from all parties, tell them our stories, provide facts, and enlist their aid in opposing forced or coerced vaccines of any kind.  Period.

After Lobby Day:

  • Follow up with your legislators, whether you were able to meet with them or not.  Continue to let your voice be heard, and continue to send them important facts about vaccine dangers and the perils of removing personal choice.
  • If they pledged to vote against any form of forced or coerced vaccines, let us know.  We will maintain a scorecard so everyone knows who the brave lawmakers are – those willing to stand up and protect the rights of the people.

We are going in strong from the very start to alert lawmakers that we are informed, we are many, and we will fight to retain our right to choose. This issue can’t wait.

It has been known for years that removing exemptions to vaccines is a top goal of our governor, the MDH, MNAAP, MMA, and certain pharma-funded legislators.

The Minnesota Medical Association stated as a legislative priority for 2022:

Vaccine Promotion: Childhood and COVID-19
• Political and public backlash to COVID-19 vaccines have the potential to spur legislation to erode Minnesota’s school and childcare vaccination laws.
• Vaccines are safe, effective, and critical to preventing disease outbreaks and minimizing serious complications.
• MMA remains committed to removing the “conscientiously held belief” exemption and to increasing overall vaccine rates.

MMA lost any shred of credibility by stating that vaccines are “safe, effective, and critical to preventing disease outbreaks”.

FACT:  There are nearly 1.5 MILLION reports of harm and death from just the COVID vaccines alone in the VAERS database (which is grossly underreported).

FACT:  The WHO, CDC and vaccine manufacturers themselves reluctantly had to admit that these shots do not prevent transmission.

FACT:  The National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 was passed precisely BECAUSE there were so many injuries and deaths from vaccines.  And that was back when there were only 5 vaccines on the recommended CDC schedule.

But MMA is “committed” to removing your right to choose whether untested, unsafe, and ineffective shots are forced into the bodies of your children in order for them to attend licensed daycares or public school (which YOU pay for with your tax dollars).

But remember – your legislators work for YOU – not the pharmaceutical cartel.  Get to know your state senator and representative, and contact them regularly about this issue.  Be brave and stand strong now, or be prepared to flee Minnesota.

Vaccine injury happens to people of all races, colors, creeds, and political persuasions.

Shame on any lawmaker who supports forced vaccination!
